Has used voice recognition software for the past 25 years. He is familiar with optimizing these products and generating macros to create structured reports and modifiable text reports. With these products, he can report 150 to 200 plain film cases daily. Additionally, he is an academic radiologist at King's College Hospital. He is involved with writing, publishing, and training radiology trainees and mentoring radiology trainees in Poland and Ukraine. He occasionally organizes musculoskeletal radiology webinars specifically for trainees.

Dr. Czarniecki is a radiologist with Advanced Radiology, a hybrid practice affiliated with the University of Maryland. His interests include telemedicine and cross-border collaboration. He is the author of numerous articles and book chapters in prostate cancer diagnostics, imaging informatics, as well as an open-source textbook in radiology. Previously, he held positions at Georgetown University and the National Institutes of Health. Before moving to the United States, he lived in Poland, Turkey, Malta and the United Kingdom.

March 2020

The idea was born when the Paczuski brothers realized many of their fellow physicians complain regularly about repetitive office-like tasks that make it longer for the patient to wait for test results. Willing to help their colleagues, the brothers used their specialist knowledge of information technology, artificial intelligence and natural language processing. That’s how upmedic’s prototype was built - consulted with practitioners from the very start and with every iteration.

March 2020

Pacode ltd. was established by the Paczuski brothers. A startup software house at first, creating solutions for Sundose and ieServices, among others, it also developed upmedic. Its main goal: to speed up the process of creating structured medical documentation and ensuring standardization, as well as high quality of gathered medical data.

April 2020

Medyceusz Medical Centers became the first upmedic client in the area of radiological imaging.

October 2020

SNOMED CT International: upmedic presented automated solutions for converting traditional free-text documentation into structured reports available in a variety of languages.

December 2020-January 2021

upmedic took part in the Health Venture Lab GE Healthcare accelerator.

February 2021

Upmedic won the Pitch & Bridge Canada international pitching competition.

May 2021

Upmedic won the Founders Live pitching competition.

June 2021

Official cooperation with IBM started.

October 2021

LT Capital invested $240,000 into our project, upmedic joined Lublin Medicine – Medical & Wellness Cluster

November 2021-June 2022

upmedic developed new functionalities and User Experience upgrades based on practitioners’ feedback.

February-March 2022

upmedic took part in the Healthcare Lab Roche & EIT Health international accelerator.

April 2022

upmedic won the 10,000EUR grand prize during Demo Day finalizing the Healthcare Lab Roche & EIT Health accelerator.

April 2022
